This sculpture memorial park has been made at the spot of IIWW concentrating camp Danica set up by fascist collaborators. In that camp Jews, Serbs, Roma people and Croatian antifascist were imprisoned and killed. The camp was destroyed by bombardment at the end of the war. Now here in the middle of the meadow stands just a big empty concrete wall and a water tower. Series of sculptures were put at the spot. Sculptures called The Gaze shaped as steel tubes with a mirror at the at the height of human eyes. Mirrors demand passerby to come closer to and to confront himself/herself with its gaze in the mirror, thas confronting her/him with their internal psychological sense of social responsibility, the guilt and suppressed memory.
